Bongani Zungu is a South African midfielder who is also known as "Ben 10" by football fans. He is also known for his relationship with popular TV actress Cindy Mahlangu, who he shares a child with.
Career
Born in 1992, The current Amazulu veteran burst onto the local football scene with his performances with University of Pretoria, earning him a move to Tshwane giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
The lanky former Bafana Bafana midfielder who reportedly was reported to have a net worth estimated between R71–R93 million in 2024, won two league titles with Masandawana in his first spell with the club before securing a move to Portuguese top-flight side Vitoria Guimaraes.
Zungu spent just one impressive season in Portugal before being snapped up by then French Ligue 1 side Amiens.
Zungu also turned out for Scottish giants Rangers on loan, where he became the first South African footballer to win a Scottish Premiership title, however his stint under manager Steven Gerrard was shrouded with controversy.
He was one of five Rangers players who were fined by Scottish police "for attending an illegal gathering of 10 people in a flat" in breach of lockdown rules during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom.
The Duduza born maestro returned home to Sundowns, where he won two more league titles and the inaugral African Football League before leaving for Kwazulu-Natal and joining Amazulu.
He also earned 29 caps for Bafana Bafana, scoring five goals.
