Champions Cup: Bulls concede nine tries in home defeat against Bristol Bears

The English visitors got off to the perfect start as Benhard Janse van Rensburg, Max Lahiff and Noah Heward went over for tries.

The hosts hit back with Jeandre Rudolph dotting down while flyhalf Handre Pollard added the conversion were back into the contest on the scoreboard.

Bristol though extended their lead with two more tries but Stravino Jacobs dotted down twice for the as the visitors took a 42-21 lead at the half hour mark.

The home outfit received a glimmer of hope on the stroke of halftime when they were awarded a penalty try as Bristol took a 42-28 advantage into the break.

Heward completed his hat-trick, while the English side scored 9 tries to round out a good victory away from home.

The Bulls also had ill-discipline in their ranks as Willie le Roux received a ye;llow card for a scuffle but the Springbok did come back on to get a try near the end.

The home aside however were denied second losing bonus-point from the contest as the Bears held out.

In the final round of Champions Cup fixtures next weekend, the winless Bulls travel to Pau, while Bristol host Bordeaux Begles.
