Everton monitor John Stones contract situation at Man City

The 31-year-old is reportedly not expected to receive a new contract offer from the Cityzens when his deal ends on 30 June 2026.

Stones joined Man City in 2016 for a then record fee (£47.5 million) for a defender on a six-year contract before signing an extension in 2021.

However, injury issues have plagued him in recent seasons, with his most recent setback forcing him to withdraw from the England squad that played Uruguay and Japan during the March international break.

The Englishman is also reportedly on the shortlist of West Ham United, Brighton and Hove Albion and Italian side Juventus for the summer transfer window.

He has made a total of 292 appearances for City, scoring 19 goals and providing nine assists while winning 18 trophies, but has only played seven matches this season.
