Ghana striker Albert Amoah completes move to Saudi Arabia

Hajer confirmed the signing on Friday, August 14, with the Ghanaian forward set to compete in the Saudi First Division League, also known as the Yelo League, Ghanasoccernet.com reported.

The move sees Amoah leave Ghana after an impressive spell in the country's top flight, where he established himself as one of the promising attacking players. The 24-year-old scored 21 goals in 52 Ghana Premier League appearances, highlighting his consistency in front of goal.

Amoah was particularly influential during his time at Asante Kotoko, becoming an important part of their attacking setup. During the 2024/25 campaign, he finished among the league's leading scorers and produced one of his best performances on the final day when he scored a hat-trick in Kotoko's 3-2 win over Medeama.

His goalscoring record has now earned him an opportunity to continue his career outside Ghana, with Hajer hoping he can bring his attacking qualities to their squad.

Amoah's physical presence, movement and ability to find the net could make him an important player for the Saudi club as they prepare for the new season.

The striker expressed his excitement about joining Hajer and praised the rapid growth of football in Saudi Arabia, saying he hopes to help the club achieve success and victories during the campaign.

He will now turn his attention to pre-season preparations as he begins his first experience of Saudi Arabian football.

For Amoah, the move represents an important career milestone and an opportunity to test himself in a different football environment while continuing his development.
