The Dark horses for the 2026 FIFA World Cup
The five dark horses for the 2026 FIFA World Cup are Norway, Colombia, Morocco, Japan, and Ecuador.

Bafana Bafana will begin their campaign against Mexico at the iconic Estadio Azteca on June 11, a repeat of the fixture that opened South Africa's 2010 World Cup journey on home soil.
Khune was one of the stars of that encounter, producing a string of crucial saves as Bafana secured a memorable 1-1 draw against the Mexicans at FNB Stadium.
With another meeting looming, the former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper believes neutralising Fulham striker Jimenez will be key to South Africa's chances of getting a positive result.
"We just need to be careful of Raul Jimenez, who is playing for Fulham," Khune said, as quoted by Sportswire.
"I know we have TLB [Mbekezeli Mbokazi] at the back and he can put him in his pocket. Once we close Jimenez down, I think the job is half done. I also heard there is a 17-year-old wonder boy, so we definitely need to be wary of him too."
Khune believes a draw would not be a bad result for Hugo Broos' side, particularly given Bafana's recent struggles against teams from North and Central America.
"Sixteen years ago we managed a 1-1 draw against Mexico. Even a draw wouldn't be a bad result in the opening game," he said.
"We have to expect a physical game and be prepared for it. Those recent matches gave us a good test and a clear idea of how Mexico plays."
Bafana will also face the Czech Republic and South Korea in Group A. With the tournament expanded to 48 teams, Khune believes South Africa can reach the knockout rounds for the first time.
"We just need to believe in ourselves. It is entirely in the players' hands to make the nation proud," he said.
