Justin Greaves, Jayden Seales star as West Indies beat Pakistan in opening Test

The tourists were bowled out for 120 chasing a target of 211 as the Windies wrapped up big victory in the final session on the fourth day in what was the first ever Test match played at the Brain Lara Stadium.

Seales was star with the ball for the hosts in the second innings with figures of 5-20 in 14.2 overs as visiting skipper Babar Azam (58 not out) was the only batter to put up any sort of resistance.

The home side notched up a total of 311 in their first innings after electing to bat first at the toss, with wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope striking 92 while Kavem Hodge contributed 84.

Pakistan then looked in control at 244-3 in reply with Shan Masood hitting 109 but Greaves initiated an epic collapse as the seamer took 5-27 as the tourists were 282 all out as the hosts took a slender 29-run lead.

Mohammad Abbas then took 5-22 as Pakistan reduced the Windies to 93-7 but a resolute 38 from Shamar Joseph, batting at 9, and some more contributions from the tail saw the Caribbean side bowled out for 181.

Pakistan's batting collapsed again in the second innings though as the Windies sealed a comprehensive victory to make sure they can't lose the series with one left left to play.
