Kenya head coach Benni McCarthy names squad for final World Cup qualifiers

The Harambee Stars are out of contention to qualify for the expanded competition that takes place in the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2026.

After eight games, they find themselves in fifth place in their six-team group, with nine points - a whopping 11 points adrift of leaders Ivory Coast.

McCarthy's charges most recently saw off the Seychelles 5-0, after a 3-1 home defeat to Gambia.

They play Burundi on Thursday, October 9 and defending AFCON champions Ivory Coast on Tuesday, October 14.
