The encounter is one of two league fixtures on the night, with Marumo Gallants hosting Polokwane City at their new home ground, the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, North West.

Richards Bay vs AmaZulu

Richards Bay will be desperate to end their winless start to the season when they welcome provincial rivals AmaZulu.

The Natal Rich Boys have collected just three points from their opening four matches, having recorded three draws and one defeat. They currently sit 12th on the league standings, a position coach Ronnie Gabriel will be eager to improve as his side look to claim bragging rights.

However, they face an AmaZulu side determined to bounce back after suffering a heavy 5-2 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in their previous outing.

The loss was Usuthu's first of the campaign after they had started the season with two victories and a draw. Arthur Zwane's side currently occupy fourth place with seven points, and victory in the derby would see them move above Kaizer Chiefs into third position.

AmaZulu also have the recent bragging rights between the sides, having beaten Richards Bay 2-1 when they last met in a league encounter in March.

Marumo Gallants vs Polokwane City

Marumo Gallants return to home action hoping to turn their fortunes around when they host Polokwane City at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

Gallants' opening league match of the campaign was played at home, where they held Kruger United to a goalless draw. Since then, however, Bahlabane Ba Ntwa have suffered three successive defeats against Stellenbosch, Mamelodi Sundowns and, most recently, TS Galaxy.

With only one point from four matches, Gallants occupy 15th position and will be desperate to make the most of home advantage as they look to climb away from the bottom end of the table.

The fixture will also be a familiar one for Gallants head coach Phuti Mohafe, who previously coached Polokwane City. His knowledge of Rise and Shine could prove valuable as he prepares his current side to face his former employers.

Polokwane City, meanwhile, have collected five points from their opening four matches under new coach Willy "Bayano" Moloto.

Rise and Shine have recorded one win, two draws and one defeat, leaving them in 11th position on the league standings. They will be hoping to build on their positive start and add to Gallants' struggles when the two sides meet.
