Lamine Yamal steps up training as Barcelona star plots comeback after El Clasico setback

The 18-year-old winger has faced scrutiny for his subdued performance at the Bernabeu, where Barcelona's defeat left them five points adrift of their rivals at the top of La Liga.

However, reports from Mundo Deportivo have revealed that Yamal has been working intensely in training this week, following a special recovery and conditioning plan designed to help him regain full fitness.

Yamal has reportedly been managing persistent pubic pain that has affected his explosiveness in recent matches. To address this, Barcelona's medical and technical staff have drawn up a tailored schedule that includes extra physiotherapy sessions and individual work alongside the regular team training.

Club footage released this week showed Yamal looking sharp and confident, moving freely and striking the ball cleanly without any visible discomfort. Those close to the first team believe the young forward is ready to bounce back quickly.

"There is no doubt about his quality or mentality," a source inside the Barcelona dressing room told Mundo Deportivo. "He is determined to show that what happened at the Bernabeu was just a bad day."

Barcelona's coaching staff continue to view Yamal as a vital figure for the club's future, with his physical health and confidence being closely managed. The teenager has reportedly kept away from distractions off the pitch, choosing instead to focus entirely on his football.

Before the upcoming international break, Yamal will have three key fixtures to demonstrate his progress, against Elche in La Liga on tomorrow (Sunday), Club Brugge in the Champions League on November 5, and Celta Vigo away on November 9.

Each match offers him the opportunity to remind fans why he is seen as one of Europe's brightest young talents and a cornerstone of Barcelona's long-term plans.
