Lehlohonolo Seema sets survival as priority in new role at Siwelele FC

Seema was officially announced as Siwelele's head coach last Sunday, following the club's acquisition of SuperSport United's top-flight status.

This appointment marks Seema's return to the Premiership after his departure from Sekhukhune United earlier this year. His former club subsequently appointed Eric Tinkler, who steered Sekhukhune to a top-four league finish.

Tasked with leading Siwelele as they embark on their maiden season in South Africa's elite league, Seema brings extensive coaching experience. The Lesotho-born mentor has previously managed several PSL clubs, including Chippa United, Bloemfontein Celtic, Golden Arrows, Polokwane City, and Sekhukhune United.

At Siwelele, Seema will be supported by assistant coach Andre Arendse and goalkeeper coach Grant Johnson.

Speaking to Robert Marawa on MSW, Seema emphasized the importance of staying clear of relegation battles.

"I'm happy to be back home. I know this is Siwelele FC and not Bloemfontein Celtic because the fans sing for Siwelele, not Celtic," Seema said.

“The chairman, Calvin Le John, was clear: we don't want to be caught in a relegation fight like SuperSport United last season. Our mandate is simple - make sure Siwelele remain in the league beyond next season. We're here to stay.”
