Levi Colwill believes Chelsea deserved three points at Liverpool

Levi Colwill believes Chelsea deserved three points at Liverpool

The centre-back made his first start for the Blues this season after a long injury lay-off, helping his side to claim a point away from home.

"We played some really good football, and we deserved three points, but that's the way football goes," said Colwill after the match.

"It's a good stepping stone to take to the Manchester City game, and go to Wembley [FA Cup final] and win. Defensively, apart from conceding early, I thought we were immense.

"The back four, the goalkeeper, Moi [Caicedo] helping us out – the whole team were great. We defended together, stuck together, fought, and I think you saw that today."

The 23-year-old suffered the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) knee injury in a training session in August 2025, which was followed by a successful surgery that month.

"It was amazing being out there. Before the game, I had no nerves," admitted Colwill.

"I was just excited walking onto the pitch. With all the hard work I've put in, I was just happy to be outside. I've waited eight or nine months to do that."
