Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen gets praised by ex-Besikitas midfielder

Engin shared his admiration for the Super Eagles star while speaking on the Asist Analiz YouTube channel, where he highlighted Osimhen's remarkable athleticism and commanding presence on the pitch.

"Galatasaray S.K. has an extraordinary player; Victor Osimhen. You have to look at his genetics — he's more than just a human," Engin said, as quoted by Turkish outlet Habersarikirmizi.

The former Besiktas J.K. midfielder went even further in his praise, expressing amazement at thj  e Nigerian's strength and intensity during matches.

"What does this guy eat, man? He must be eating lions. Osimhen has become like a lion. Icardi has been forgotten," Engin added, suggesting the Nigerian's performances have overshadowed fellow striker Mauro Icardi.

The 26-year-old once again demonstrated why he is regarded as one of Europe's most dangerous forwards during Galatasaray's historic 1–0 victory in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Liverpool F.C.

The decisive moment arrived as early as the seventh minute. Rising highest inside the box, Osimhen met a corner kick with a powerful header directed toward goal.

Midfielder Mario Lemina reacted quickest, expertly redirecting the ball past the goalkeeper to give the Turkish giants an early lead.

Although Lemina ultimately applied the finishing touch, Osimhen's aerial dominance created the opportunity that proved decisive in the match.

Throughout the encounter, the Nigerian striker remained a constant threat, using his pace, power, and tireless movement to trouble Liverpool's defence.

His influence helped Galatasaray maintain their narrow advantage against the relentless English side, underlining Engin's belief that Osimhen is a rare talent capable of deciding matches almost single-handedly.
