Proteas seamer Codi Yusuf joins English county side Durham for a second spell

The 27-year-old initially signed a short-term deal in April and went to play four First-Class matches in the County Championship, taking 17 wickets.

Yusuf was then called up to the Proteas squad for the two-match Test series in Zimbabwe and impressed with 10 wickets at an average of 12.20 across the two matches and bowling with good pace.

He joins Durham in time for the two upcoming rounds of the County Championship and the group stage of the One-Day Cup, which takes place in August.

Marcus North, Durham's director of cricket, said: "Codi was a great addition to Durham during his short spell with us earlier in the season.

"He was heavily invested in the club and his performances in the County Championship have warranted his return to Chester le Street.

"We look forward to him returning to the club this week."
