Ben Stokes admits he got "quite lucky" after a suffering a "pretty nasty" facial injury that has ruled the England Test captain out for at least the next month.

Curran's last appearance for England in any format came in November last year and the allrounder has not yet featured under head coach Brendon McCullum.
