Springboks dealt major blow as RG Snyman ruled out for season with ACL rupture

Springboks dealt major blow as RG Snyman ruled out for season with ACL rupture

Snyman picked up the injury in Leinster's 38-17 defeat to Glasgow Warriors, and missed their recent victory over Scarlets as well, but he will now spend an extended time on the sidelines.

This is the latest serious injury blow of his career, with him previously rupturing his ACL on the other knee during his stint at Munster.

This injury will also leave Boks boss Rassie Erasmus sweating ahead of the 2026 Test season, which begins in July.

In a statement, Leinster said: "RG Snyman will be unavailable for the remainder of the season after suffering a ruptured ACL against Glasgow Warriors."

Snyman has been ruled out of the Springboks' Nations Championship Tests against England, Wales and Italy in July.

He will also miss Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Series clashes with the All Blacks from August to September.
