Sri Lanka's Matheesha Pathirana ruled out for remainder of T20 World Cup

Pathirana suffered the injury in teh group stage encounter against Australia on Wednesday, clutching his left leg while after bowling his fourth delivery of his first over.

The paceman was helped off the field by medicaL staff and subsequent scans has revealed a calf strain that will take several weeks to heal.

Madushanka has taken 15 wickets in T20Is at an average of 31.86 and an economy rate in of 9.75.

Sri Lanka have already qualified for the Super Eights stage of the T20 World Cup with one more group clash against Zimbabwe in Colombo still remaining.

In the Super Eights, the co-hosts will take on England, New Zealand and Pakistan for a place in the semifinals.
