The 22-year-old speedster arrived at the start of the current campaign after a protracted transfer saga with Cape Town Spurs, a dispute that delayed his integration but did little to diminish the excitement around his potential.
Known for his pace and direct attacking style, Velebayi has been gradually working his way into the squad as the technical team eases him into regular action.
So far, he has made four appearances across all competitions. Two of those outings have come in the Betway Premiership, while the other two have been in the CAF Confederation Cup, giving him valuable experience both domestically and on the continental stage.
Velebayi says each match has helped him adapt more smoothly to the demands of playing for one of South Africa's biggest clubs. With every opportunity, he feels he is gaining confidence and sharpening his decision-making as he settles into the rhythm of the season.
"For me personally, I'm taking it game-by-game," he said.
"My confidence is slowly building up like compared to when I made my debut where I was like a little bit nervous.
"So, it's learning every day, adapting. The more I get the minutes, the more I get the confidence.
"I must say I'm adapting like very good at the club."
