Nedbank Cup preview: Stellenbosch host Polokwane City

While Stellies have seen their form drop over the past few months after a strong start to the Betway Premiership season, Rise and Shine have maintained their impressive form.

Steve Barker's side have slipped to ninth place on the standings, while Polokwane are in third.

But while Stellies are on 20 points from 14 games and overcame Motsepe Foundation Championship Kruger United 1-0 in their last 32 clash, City, under the watchful eye of Phuti Mohafe, are on 29 points from 17 games, and saw off ABC Motsepe side Bees FC 1-0.

Ahead of the game, Barker told his club's website: "It's never easy when you play a team from a lower division, but going from a goal down to Kruger United and coming back to get the job done has put us in a position to be in the last 16 against Polokwane City, who everyone knows is having a really good season.

"We do anticipate that in order for us to advance, we will have to be at our best and we'll have to find a little bit of form because maybe in the last couple of games, we haven't been at our best."
