'Samkelo Zwane close to reaching his potential', says Siwelele head coach Lehlohonolo Seema

The 23-year-old Amakhosi product struggled for game time in his three seasons in the first team, making just 36 appearances across all competitions.

He was shipped out to Siwelele this term and has played three games, including a first start in the narrow 1-0 Carling Knockout defeat to Orlando Pirates last time out.

Seema'a newly formed team are struggling for results but Seema says he has seen some positive progress, including from loanee Zwane.

Speaking after the match, Seema said on FARPost: "For me, starting him [against Pirates], it shows that he's ready, and it's not that he's not there yet.

"The challenge that we have with the players that we brought in is that they were not having enough game time. So now, we are working on a lot of aspects, that's why we're going to introduce them here and there.

"We're going to be a few seconds slower in terms of decision-making and in terms of fight, but we know Zwane's capabilities.

"So credit must also go to our conditioning department; those guys are working very hard."

Siwelele are next in action away to Kaizer Chiefs after the international break.
