Tottenham expect return of fit-again trio to face Man Utd

All three players are expected to return to training this week, offering a much-needed fitness boost following recent setbacks.

The match is crucial for both sides, with Manchester United eager for revenge after losing twice to Spurs earlier this season.

Tottenham, however, are reeling from defeats to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final and Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round, which saw them exit both cup competitions.

Manager Ange Postecoglou, under pressure due to the team's recent form, has given his players who featured in the Aston Villa defeat two days off.

He hopes the lighter training schedule over the next two weeks will help rejuvenate the squad and improve their performances.

"The ones who have been playing, we've got to give them some time off. We've got the early part of the week and we'll give them some time off," said Postecoglou.

"The boys who are coming back, we'll get the opportunity to give them a whole week of training which is great.

So come Tuesday we should have three or four who have been missing. We can give them a full week of training instead of a couple of sessions before throwing them in."
