LIV Golf stars Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton confirmed for Genesis Scottish Open

The Legion XIII teammates will be part of a strong European Ryder Cup contingent competing for the $9 million prize fund, with the tournament once again set to feature several of the continent's biggest names.

It will also mark the pair's first DP World Tour appearances since resolving outstanding sanction issues related to their participation in LIV Golf events without official releases.

Hatton was among eight players who reached an agreement in February, with Rahm finalising his own settlement the following month - a move that also ensured his continued eligibility for the Ryder Cup.

Rahm had previously hinted at his intention to tee it up at The Renaissance Club, but his participation now officially confirmed by the DP World Tour.

Both players remain suspended from PGA Tour competition, but this tournament is jointly sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA Tour and counts towards both the Race to Dubai and FedEx Cup standings.

Two-time major champion Rahm will make only his third appearance at the Genesis Scottish Open. He finished seventh on debut in 2021 before narrowly missing the top 50 the following year.

They will be joined by a host of Ryder Cup colleagues in what effectively amounts to a European reunion, including past champions Rory McIlroy and Bob MacIntyre, who won the event in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

Genesis Scottish Open championship director Rory Colville said: "The Genesis Scottish Open continues to attract one of the strongest fields in world golf, and we are delighted to welcome so many of Europe's leading Ryder Cup stars back to The Renaissance Club."
