Arsenal fixtures: Premier League giants await in brutal opening run
Arsenal enter the 2025/26 Premier League season with growing expectations after consecutive second-place finishes and a Champions League semi-final run.
Silvestre believes the 27-year-old England international has an ideal situation at Selhurst Park, warning that a switch to Arsenal could limit his game time due to fierce competition in Mikel Arteta's squad.
"Eberechi Eze to Arsenal? I don't think it'd be good for him, to be honest, because there is a lot of competition and because he has so much joy and freedom at Crystal Palace," Silvestre told Hajper.
"Going to Arsenal would, I think, be difficult because of the competition for places. But I like him a lot. Since his early days, he has been terrific.
"It's a shame he's had quite a lot of muscle injuries and he's missed some parts of the season. But whenever he's fit and ready, he is a top player."
Eze has been heavily linked with a 60-million-pound move to Arsenal, which would mark the Gunners' seventh signing of a busy and expensive summer window. However, little progress has been reported on the potential deal.
His form last season was outstanding. Eze enjoyed a career-best campaign in 2024-25, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists. Most notably, he netted the winning goal in the FA Cup final against Manchester City, securing Crystal Palace's first-ever major trophy.
The attacking midfielder has since been told to enjoy the freedom he has at Palace, where he plays a pivotal role. With his reputation soaring and a place in the England setup now established, many believe a move to Arsenal could disrupt his rise.
