Axar Patel backs SunRisers Hyderabad to win IPL 2026 title

Speaking after Delhi Capitals' final league-stage match of IPL 2026, Patel said SRH could become extremely difficult to stop if their top three batters click consistently during the playoffs.

"I think SRH is a strong team. When their top three score runs, they look like a formidable unit," said Patel.

He described Hyderabad as one of the most dangerous sides in the competition because of their aggressive batting strength at the top of the order.

SRH sealed their place in the playoffs with a dominant 55-run victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in their final league-stage fixture.

The comprehensive win against the table-toppers was viewed as one of Hyderabad's most complete performances of the season and lifted them to third place in the standings.

Hyderabad will now face Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator on May 27 at the Mullanpur Stadium as they continue their push for the trophy.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals finished sixth in the IPL table with 14 points from 14 matches. Delhi's season was heavily damaged by poor results halfway into the tournament, leaving them unable to bounce back in time.
