The Black Caps kick off their tour with three ODIs, starting Friday in Mirpur, then close out with three T20Is, beginning Monday, 27 April.
But the squad, led by Tom Latham, is one of their most inexperienced yet. Usual white-ball captain Mitchell Santer is committed to the IPL, along with stars Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips and Matt Henry, to name but a few of the 12 Kiwis in the 2026 edition.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, will be licking their lips. The Tigers are coming off a 2-1 ODI series win over Pakistan last month and will be buoyed in front of their passionate fans.
But lifting the Black Caps are a barrage of quicks in Will O'Rourke, Blair Tickner and Matt Fisher. New Zealand head coach Rob Walter said it was pleasing to see the return of the trio.
"Will, Blair and Matt have been working very hard over the past few months to get themselves back on the park and back in contention for selection and we're pleased to welcome them back into the group," Walter told NZC.
"With the amount of cricket being played in the modern game, having depth in our bowling stocks is key. Having players of this quality come back is great for our side."
