AS FAR Rabat coach Alexandre Santos proud despite CAF Champions League final defeat
AS FAR Rabat coach Alexandre Santos has expressed pride in his players despite losing out to Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League final.

Despite winning a domestic treble in his first season in charge, Ouaddou admitted the Buccaneers were found lacking against physically dominant opponents in Africa, particularly during their defeat to DR Congo outfit Lupopo in the second preliminary round.
"You know the necessity to have this physicality in the team," said Ouaddou on SuperSport TV's Extra Time programme.
"We have some good qualities, but I think that we will have to reinforce the team in terms of physicality. But it's really important to compete against other [physically strong] clubs."
Pirates' early exit from the CAF Champions League came as a major disappointment after an impressive local campaign that saw the Soweto giants lift the MTN8, Carling Knockout Cup and Betway Premiership title.
Ouaddou pointed to the Lupopo clash as a clear example of the demands of African football, insisting his side must become more robust if they are to challenge seriously on the continent.
"You saw against Lupopo, for example, at the beginning of the season," he added.
"It's completely the type of football that's being played now. And you need to match this kind of games when you're playing CAF."
The French-Moroccan mentor is now expected to work closely with the club's recruitment department as Pirates look to build a squad capable of competing both domestically and in Africa next season.
