Harry Kane cleared for England return against Latvia
England captain Harry Kane has been passed fit to play in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Latvia, after missing last week's friendly win over Wales with a minor ankle injury concern.
The Bundesliga side announced that Baum, 19, has suffered a thigh muscle strain that will keep him out for several weeks. The defender, who impressed during a loan spell at SV Elversberg last season, has yet to feature for Frankfurt in the 2025/26 campaign.
A club statement said Baum would be out "until further notice". His lack of playing time could prompt a move in the winter transfer window, though his current deal with Frankfurt runs until 2028.
Collins, meanwhile, has withdrawn from Germany's Under-21 squad after developing a head cold and has returned to the club for treatment. The 21-year-old has been a key part of Dino Toppmoller's defence this season.
Toppmoller will be hoping Collins recovers in time for their next fixture away to SC Freiburg on Sunday, October 19, as Frankfurt look to strengthen their push for a top-six position.
Frankfurt currently sit seventh in the Bundesliga table after six matches and have conceded 16 goals so far, the worst defensive record in the league.
The side's recent form has been mixed, with just one win in their last four league outings (a 6-4 thriller at Borussia Monchengladbach), including a 0-3 home defeat to Bayern Munich on October 4.
