In-form Antoine Semenyo admits to 'fairytale' start at Man City after victory over Fulham

The 26-year-old forward opened the scoring against the Cottagers to register his fifth goal with City in eight appearances since joining from Bournemouth during the Winter transfer window.

"It's just being part of a great team, a great environment, said the Ghana international after the match.

"The coach has been great, and they've made it easy for me to settle. It's all a fairytale right now."

Semenyo currently sits third on the Premier League top goal scorer charts with 13 goals overall for both City and Bournemouth this season, just behind second placed Brentford's Igor Thiago (17) and teammate Erling Haaland (22).

"[It was] very important [to win]," added the attacker.

"That was the message from when the game was done against Liverpool. Just backing up what we did on the weekend, it was a tough graft, and we got the three points, today we did the same thing. I am happy."

City will be hoping Arsenal drop points in their clash at Brentford on Thursday, to keep the gap to only three points ahead of the weekends FA Cup fixtures.

"It's new to me. I'm enjoying it. But obviously It comes with a lot of pressure and demands. We have the team to do it. We just need to keep going," continued the former Bournemouth star.

"Just going to sit tight and watch the game tomorrow [Wolves vs Arsenal] and hopefully it goes our way so let's see."

The Citizens take on Football League Two side Salford City at the Etihad on Saturday in their next match.
