The Buccaneers had the chance to end league leaders' Mamelodi Sundowns' eight-year reign with victory against Durban City on Tuesday night but could only manage a goalless draw.
They head into Saturday's clash at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium two points behind the Brazilians, who ended their league campaign with a 3-2 defeat to TS Galaxy.
But in Orbit College they face a team needing victory to keep their survival hopes alive.
The Mswenko Boys are in second-last place on the league standings with 24 points, three clear of bottom-side Magesi, level with Marumo Gallants in 14th and one point behind Chippa United in 13th place.
In team news, Orbit will be without defender Yanga Madiba and midfielder Thuso Moleleki as both are unavailable as part of their loan agreement with parent club Pirates.
But their three other Pirates loanees are available, namely Ndumiso Ngiba, Gomolemo Khoto and Siyabulela Mabele.
Pirates are without injured Tapelo Xoki and Sihle Nduli, while Kabelo Dlamini, Masindi Nemtajela and Sipho Mbule are injury doubts.
Speaking ahead of the game, Bucs head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou said he was confident of a positive result to end their season.
"I'm really confident, and my players should be confident as well," he said in the Citizen.
"We hope to give happiness and joy to our fans But it will not be easy. We are playing against a team trying to save their position in the PSL. But let’s go and grab it, it is a big challenge,” said Ouaddou.
"I think we have the third youngest team in the PSL. So, you have an advantage of having a young team, there’s freshness and a lot of qualities. But sometimes there’s a disadvantage when dealing with these kinds of games of pressure.
"When you have a young team, you need to keep working. So, I hope that we will respond against Orbit College," said the coach.
