Nicolas Jackson keen on Chelsea return ahead of Xabi Alonso era at Blues
Nicolas Jackson is reportedly open to reviving his career at Chelsea FC - but only if he is given a clear role as first-choice striker under new head coach Xabi Alonso.

Sporting director Deco is increasingly focused on the Newcastle United winger, with Barcelona having already communicated their interest directly to the player, who is reportedly excited by the prospect of a move to Catalonia.
Newcastle are expected to sanction a sale, valuing Gordon at 85-90 million euros, with earlier figures closer to 75 million also cited.
The England international has also held discussions with Bayern Munich over a potential switch, but Barcelona are believed to have moved ahead in the race for his signature, with Gordon said to prefer a move to Spain over Germany.
Deco recently travelled to London, where he met Chelsea representatives to discuss Joao Pedro, while also advancing talks regarding Gordon.
Barcelona's shortlist for attacking reinforcements also includes Julian Alvarez, Harry Kane and Joao Pedro, as the club seek both a left winger and a striker in the same window. The left-sided signing is planned regardless of Marcus Rashford's situation at Manchester United.
In the 2025-26 campaign, Gordon registered 17 goals and five assists for Newcastle, operating both as a winger and a striker.
Barcelona view him as a versatile option capable of easing reliance on Robert Lewandowski and supporting long-term succession planning in central attack, although any deal would place significant strain on a transfer budget that must also cover defensive reinforcements.
