Former Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena handed Pyramids FC rebuild mission
South African tactician Rulani Mokwena has been appointed as the new head coach of Egyptian giants Pyramids FC following the departure of Krunoslav Jurcic on Friday.
Al Ittihad announces appointment of Faouzi Benzarti as new head coach
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach left his post with the Libyan club to take up a position with Egyptian giants Pyramids FC.
Al Ittihad have since announced the arrival of experienced 76-year-old Tunisian tactician Faouzi Benzarti.
"With unparalleled experience at the Arab and continental levels, and a golden career crowned with glory, the dean of coaches and title hunter arrives to lead the next stage with the country's dean and leader," the club wrote.
"Faouzi Benzarti, welcome to the fortress of glory."
Benzarti is a massively experienced and successful football manager, and boasts 11 Tunisian league titles, one CAF Champions League, two CAF Confederation Cups, two CAF Super Cups, as well as two Moroccan league titles.
He has also managed the Libyan national team on two occasions.
Benzarti joins Al Ittihad after guiding Club Africain to the 2025/26 Tunisian league.
