Alejandro Balde focused on comeback as Barcelona block exit talks

Interest from England has been strong, with Manchester United among the clubs tracking his progress. Despite his reported value of around 55 million euros, both the player and Barcelona have no intention of parting ways.

Manager Hansi Flick continues to place full trust in Balde, viewing him as a key figure on the left flank. Even with Joao Cancelo stepping in at times, the coaching staff see Balde as the natural fit for their system in La Liga.

However, the defender's immediate focus is recovery. Balde is in the final stages of returning from a distal hamstring injury in his left thigh, specifically affecting the biceps femoris. He picked up the injury on 3 March during a Copa del Rey semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid. Ironically, he had come on as a substitute for Jules Kounde, who also suffered a hamstring problem, but Balde was forced off himself in the 71st minute.

His return could be perfectly timed, with Barcelona facing a defining run of fixtures. They travel to Atletico Madrid on 4 April in La Liga, before hosting them again on 8 April in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg. A home derby against RCD Espanyol follows on 11 April, before the decisive second leg away to Atletico on 14 April.

This intense schedule will test Barcelona's depth and resilience, making Balde's availability a major boost. His pace and attacking intent could be vital, particularly in breaking down Atletico's disciplined structure across both domestic and European competition.

Barcelona's stance remains firm - they will not sell. Balde's commitment matches that position, with his long-term contract signed in 2023 underlining stability.

Now, the focus is simple: recover, return, and make an impact when Barcelona need him most.
