Relegated Burnley turn to Mike Jackson after Scott Parker exit
Scott Parker has left Burnley by mutual consent after the club's relegation from the Premier League was confirmed last week.

Diego Simeone's side earned a 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, leaving the tie wide open ahead of the return clash at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. But there was concern after Alvarez and Giuliano were both forced off during the match, while Sorloth missed the game completely because of hamstring discomfort.
The possible absence of three important attacking players would have been a huge setback for Atletico as they prepare to face one of Europe's strongest defensive teams. However, reports in Spain have indicated that none of the injuries are considered serious.
Barring any late setbacks, all three players are expected to be fit for the trip to London next week.
Alvarez has been one of Atletico's standout performers this season and remains a key figure in Simeone's attack. Giuliano has also earned the trust of his father with a series of energetic displays, while Sorloth has repeatedly delivered important goals from the bench since arriving from Villarreal in the summer of 2024.
With the Champions League now Atletico's main focus, Simeone is expected to protect several first-team players for Saturday's La Liga clash against Valencia at Mestalla. Alvarez, Giuliano and Sorloth are all unlikely to be included in the squad as the coaching staff aim to avoid any further injury concerns before the decisive night in England.
Although Atletico remain in the top-four race in La Liga, their priority is now clear. Simeone knows his side must be at full strength if they are to knock Arsenal out and reach another Champions League final.
