Bathusi Aubaas expected to extend Mamelodi Sundowns stay

.The 31-year-old joined Masandawana from TS Galaxy in 2023 on a reported five-year-deal, making 62 appearances, scoring once and providing three assists.

However, only 13 of those appearances were during the 2025/26 season, due to injuries and tight competition in a quality Sundowns squad but he still managed to secure a call up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Bafana Bafana.

According to reports, Ka Bo Yellow have already triggered the option to extend Aubaas' stay for an extra year, as he is deemed to be an important part of coach Miguel Cardoso's squad for the upcoming season and beyond.

The 2025/26 CAF Champions League champions have already extended the contracts of veteran duo Themba Zwane (36) and Thapelo Morena (32) ahead of the new season.

He has 16 caps for the South African national team, scoring once.
