Bayern Munich move to secure Lennart Karl's future with new deal talks underway

Karl has made 14 appearances for Bayern's senior team across all competitions, scoring two goals, including becoming the youngest goalscorer in the club's Champions League history, and providing one assist.

The attacking midfielder's poised performances have earned high praise from head coach Vincent Kompany, who has highlighted the teenager's relaxed attitude and ability to deliver in key moments, noting that he "brought that magic with him" early in the campaign.

Karl further bolstered his credentials during the recent international break, netting a brace on his Germany Under-21 debut in a commanding 6-0 victory over Malta. Under-21 coach Antonio Di Salvo lauded the youngster's seamless integration, emphasizing his potential to adapt Bayern-honed skills to the international stage.

Karl's existing youth contract, signed ahead of the 2025-26 season, extends until 2028, the maximum three-year term permitted for minors, and is set to transition into a professional agreement thereafter. Bayern, however, aim to extend beyond this framework.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club is preparing negotiations for a longer-term deal with substantially improved terms, underscoring their confidence in his elite-level trajectory.

Club officials regard Karl as one of the standout academy products in recent memory and are proactive in shielding his progress from outside speculation. A renewed commitment would secure his services deep into the next decade, honoring a debut season that has surpassed even internal projections.
