Betway Premiership: Amazulu and Sekhukhune United share the spoils

Betway Premiership: Amazulu and Sekhukhune United share the spoils

It was the visitors that twice came from behind to leave Durban with a point as the pressure ramps up at the end of the season approaches.

It was Usuthu that took the lead in front of their own fans when Thapelo Matlhoko headed home in the 23rd minute.

Sekhukhune hit back though and found the equaliser four minutes before the halftime break as Olerato Mandi netted.

The visitors had early opportunities after the break to take the lead but Lehlogonolo Mojela and Ellis Rammala could not capitalise.

Eric Tinkler's charges would rue those missed chances as Amazulu went back in front when Nkosikhona Radebe found the back of the net.

Sekhukhune however would the deny the home team taking maximum points from the contest when Bright Ndlovu made it 2-2 with 12 minutes remaining.

Both sides will be in league action again on Saturday, with AmaZulu facing Siwelele in Bloemfontein, while Sekhukhune host relegation-threatened Magesi in Polokwane.
