AmaZulu's Ngwenya in top-form

Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has started the new season with a bang, scoring five goals in four matches in all competitions, including three in the league with one assist.

The Zimbabwean goal poacher is just two goals shy of his overall tally of seven goals scored last season [in 19 appearances] for Usuthu, with head coach Arthur Zwane insistent that Ngwenya has the ability to score more goals.

He will be crucial to AmaZulu's ambition to secure CAF football for next season.

Arrows goalscoring woes continue

Abafana Bes'thende remain the only team in the league that has not scored a single goal in their opening three fixtures following the 0-0 draw against TS Galaxy on Sunday, their third consecutive goalless draw.

Pitso Dladla's side has shown discipline in defence and are yet to concede in all competitions this season, after having beaten Kiazer Chiefs 1-0 in their MTN8 quarter-final but will need to start scoring goals in order to move up the league table.
