Bilal El Khannouss leads Stuttgart into stern Bayern Munich test

Stuttgart, sixth in the league after 12 matchdays, have been formidable at home, winning all five of their opening league fixtures - something the club has not achieved since the 1992/93 season.

They have also scored in every Bundesliga game so far, demonstrating their attacking potency despite some defensive vulnerabilities.

Attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss has been pivotal, netting five goals and providing six assists across 20 games this season. The 21-year-old insists his side will not be intimidated by the German champions.

"It's a big match against a big club. We respect Bayern but we're not going to be in awe of them," said El Khannouss, as quoted by iMiaSanMia.

"At the end of the day, it's 11 against 11, like in any other match. We want to show that we're capable of competing against a big team like that and we can't wait to see how we measure up to Bayern. And of course, we're playing at home with our fans behind us."

Forward Deniz Undav will also be central to Stuttgart's hopes, having scored eight goals and assisted twice in his last six outings across all competitions, including seven goals in just eight Bundesliga appearances.

Stuttgart's recent form has been mixed, with a four-match unbeaten run ending in a 2-1 loss at Hamburger SV, but they bounced back with a 2-0 DFB-Pokal win at Bochum.

Bayern Munich arrive at the Mercedes-Benz Arena unbeaten in the Bundesliga, topping the table by eight points. Their attack has been relentless, scoring 44 goals in 12 league games, with Harry Kane contributing 14 goals and Luis Díaz involved in 12 goal actions.

However, defensive lapses have been evident, as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in six consecutive matches across all competitions.

Historically, Bayern have dominated Stuttgart, winning 15 of the last 16 competitive meetings, including a 2-1 Supercup victory earlier this season.
