Former Bafana Bafana coach Palacios refuses to blame Sithole for Mexico defeat
Former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana coach Augusto Palacios has urged South Africans not to pin blame on Sphephelo Sithole following the 2-0 loss to Mexico.

Playing in sweltering conditions near Lake Ontario, the tournament co-hosts looked set for another World Cup defeat before Larin emerged from the bench in the closing stages to secure a historic result. The point came in Canada's seventh match at the finals and extended their unbeaten run to nine games.
Bosnia threatened early and nearly struck after three minutes when Amar Memic met a deep free-kick but fired over from 12 yards. Jovo Lukic then headed wide before Canada produced their first meaningful attack, with all-time leading scorer Jonathan David testing goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj after 15 minutes.
The breakthrough arrived in the 21st minute. Ivan Basic's corner was glanced on by captain Sead Kolasinac at the near post, allowing Lukic to nod home from close range for his first goal at senior international level.
Canada responded energetically but struggled to convert territorial pressure into clear opportunities. Tani Oluwaseyi squandered their best opening of the first half after beating his marker, leaving Bosnia, coached by Sergej Barbarez, 1-0 ahead at the interval.
The visitors remained dangerous after the restart. Ermedin Demirovic forced Maxime Crepeau into action before Vasilj denied Oluwaseyi following a skilful run. Canada then came agonisingly close when Richie Laryea rounded the goalkeeper, only for Kolasinac to clear onto the crossbar.
Demirovic was later thwarted in a one-on-one by Crepeau, while Nikola Katic cleared an Oluwaseyi header off the line in the 70th minute.
Canada's persistence eventually paid off inside the final 10 minutes. Substitute Promise David flicked the ball into Larin's path, and the striker made no mistake to level the scores. Neither side could find a winner thereafter, leaving Bosnia with a sixth successive draw in regulation time.
Both teams now head west for Thursday's second Group B fixtures, with Canada facing Qatar in Vancouver and Bosnia and Herzegovina taking on Switzerland in Los Angeles.
