Eze labels Arsenal as 'fun team' after Champions League win over Lille

The 28-year-old opened his goalscoring account for the 2026/27 campaign with a neat left-footed finish from a Bukayo Saka cross for the second goal of the match.

Eze went on to describe how it feels like to feature in the Gunners attack when everything clicks to produce excellent football when quizzed by a reporter after the match.

"It's fun!" he responded.

"You know that opportunities are coming all over the place, so you've just got to be ready, be in the right places, be in the right spaces to get on the end of stuff. It's a fun team to play in!

"It was an enjoyable performance from all of us. We dominated the game, and we enjoy winning, so that's the main thing. I always want to play, always want to score, and that’s the mentality - I’ll keep pushing and keep working."

The former Crystal Palace star has now made 60 appearances for the North London giants since joining the side ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League winning season, scoring 11 goals while providing seven assists.

"We were doing a lot in the first half as well," added Eze.

"And I think the players that came on as well really helped us to push on. That was an important impact."

Arsenal will turn their attention to Sunday's league fixture away to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
