Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezile Mbokazi promises not to disappoint as he bids farewell
Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi says he will not disappoint as he embarks on the next chapter of his career in the United States.

Buda's football journey began in 2016 when he joined the Orlando Pirates reserve team from the Augusto Palacios Academy, where he had stood out as one of South Africa's brightest young midfield prospects.
Known for his vision, composure, and goal-scoring ability, Buda quickly made a name for himself in the DStv Diski Challenge, playing alongside future Bafana Bafana stars Lyle Foster and Thabiso Monyane.
Despite his potential, Buda was never promoted to the Pirates senior squad - a major setback in a career that once showed great promise. As others around him progressed, Buda was instead sent to the club's feeder team, Pele Pele, in the ABC Motsepe League, where he spent several seasons competing in the country's third tier.
Last season, the Daveyton-born midfielder joined Hout Bay United in the Western Cape, playing under former Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach Michael Loftman. It proved to be his final campaign.
"I'm officially hanging up my boots. Thank you to everyone who supported me. Football taught me a lot about life. To the youngsters - keep pushing, even when it hurts," wrote the ex-Bucs midfielder on his Instagram account as quoted by FarPost.
Retiring at 24, Buda's story is a reminder of how quickly football dreams can fade - not through lack of talent, but through the tough realities of the professional game.
