Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa charged for Man Utd post-match comments
Arbeloa is alleged to have acted improperly during a post-match interview by making remarks that implied bias and questioned the integrity of a match official.
The Spaniard made the comments after United scored a late equaliser at Craven Cottage, referencing the controversial Manchester derby that had taken place shortly beforehand.
Erling Haaland had scored the winning goal for Manchester City in that match despite VAR failing to intervene over an offside involving Enzo Fernandez.
After Fulham were denied victory by United's late leveller, Arbeloa said:"Every decision was for them and I knew after the game against Man City that [the officials would not] let Manchester United lose here."
The FA has now charged the Fulham boss over the remarks, with Arbeloa given until Thursday, October 1 to respond.
The case centres on whether his comments amounted to an improper suggestion of bias or a questioning of the match official's integrity.
Arbeloa is in his first season as Fulham head coach after taking charge of the Premier League club, with the incident adding an early disciplinary issue to his time in the Craven Cottage dugout.
