Flick, who is currently in charge at the Catalan giants, has been enjoying life at the club since taking over. His impact has been immediate and emphatic, with Barcelona already claiming four trophies under his leadership.
Just as significantly, the team have embraced an exciting, attacking brand of football that has re-energised supporters.
Key to that transformation have been standout performances from Pedri, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. The trio have played starring roles in a dynamic system built on movement, technical quality and forward intent.
Flick recently reflected on his project at Barcelona as part of an upcoming documentary about Johan Cruyff. The German admitted he is striving to make the legendary Dutchman proud, acknowledging the enduring influence Cruyff's philosophy continues to have at the club.
"What can I say? I'm very proud to be part of Barca and I'm doing my best to make Johan, from above, feel proud of everything we do," said Flick.
The Cruyff documentary also features an interview with Pedri, who believes Barcelona's identity was forever changed by Cruyff.
"He is the inventor of today's football, of everything we want Barça to be: that way of playing, of having fun on the pitch," Pedri said.
"He is the most important person at Barça in terms of ideology and how he changed football at this club."
