Mamelodi Sundowns’ pair become new faces of Puma football
Mamelodi Sundowns stars Iqraam Rayners and Bathusi Aubaas have earned a major career boost after signing a lucrative endorsement deal with global sportswear giant Puma.

The political party described the comments as “racist and sexist” and called for a thorough investigation.
The controversy erupted after Broos publicly criticised the Orlando Pirates defender for arriving late to the national team camp in Pretoria, labelling it an “unprofessional attitude of a South African player.”
During a media briefing, the Belgian tactician reportedly said, “I will have a chat with him after training, and I can assure you, he’s a black guy and he will leave my room as a white guy.”
He also referred to Mbokazi’s agent, Basia Michaels, as a “nice little woman who is his agent.”
The UDM expressed deep concern over the comments in letters sent both to the Human Rights Commission and the South African Football Association (SAFA).
“The reported comments, racially coded, derogatory, and gender-diminishing, cannot be dismissed as off-hand remarks,” said party secretary-general Yongama Zigebe.
“They carry historical and cultural significance in a society still healing from the institutionalisation of racism and sexism. Public figures, particularly those entrusted with national teams, bear heightened obligations to uphold the values of non-racialism, non-sexism, respect and equality.”
The party has requested that the Human Rights Commission investigate whether Broos’ statements constitute unfair discrimination, hate speech, or an impairment of dignity under PEPUDA and the Constitution.
They have also asked that SAFA be engaged on its obligations to enforce anti-racism and anti-sexism measures within national teams, ensure accountability, implement corrective measures, and prevent recurrence.
