Jamal Musiala continues 'slow' injury recovery at Bayern Munich

Jamal Musiala continues 'slow' injury recovery at Bayern Munich

Speaking to Sky Germany, Musiala gave a honest assessment of his form since his comeback.

"I think I've had good phases and sometimes not-so-good phases, which is completely normal," he said.

He added that getting back into rhythm with the team has been an important step in his recovery. "It was good to get back into the rhythm and back into the team a bit. I'm really happy with what I've managed to achieve.

"I know there are still steps forward I can take, things that are still missing compared to last season."

Despite the challenges, the 23-year-old insists he is satisfied with where he stands now compared to where he expected to be a few months ago.

"I'm very, very satisfied," he said. "But I want to be back at the same level as before immediately or as quickly as possible. It simply takes patience."

Musiala also admitted that patience has been the hardest part of his recovery, even as he has featured regularly since his return.

"You can also see that sometimes something is still missing; in some matches you don't notice it. But I'm very satisfied with the support I have and just want to look forward," he explained.

Looking ahead, Musiala has two matches left this season for Bayern Munich - a Bundesliga meeting with FC Koln and the DFB-Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart in Berlin on May 23. After that, his focus will turn to the 2026 World Cup with Germany.
