Kaitano Tembo back Daniel Msendami to find his best form with Orlando Pirates

Kaitano Tembo back Daniel Msendami to find his best form with Orlando Pirates

The 25-year-old Zimbabwean international winger was unveiled as Jauary signing by the Buccaneers following his impressive form for his country and in the Betway Premiership with Marumo Gallants.

Msendami linked up with his new teammates after the Warriors' exit from the Africa Cup of Nations where he played two out of three group games, including a 2-1 loss to Egypt and 3-2 reverse to South Africa.

At Bucs he faces competition from Tshepang Moremi, Oswin Appollis and Relebogile Mofokeng but assistant Zimababwe boss Tembo has backed Msendami to be a success.

Tembo told Soccer Laduma: "With Daniel Msendami, I think he had a good AFCON, in terms of minutes and performance.

"It really helped him to be noticed by teams like Orlando Pirates and I think this is a good move for him.

"He is going to have a lot of competition and that will force him to improve his game, which will be good for him and the national team.

"Pirates has a lot of quality attackers like Moremi and Appollis, so it's going to improve his game because there is a lot of competition in those positions."

Pirates are next in action away to Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
