Kaizer Chiefs confirm loan exit of goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari to Premiership newbies Kruger United

The 26-year-old Rwandan international stopper joined Amakhosi from TS Galaxy in 2024 but struggled for game-time after a disappointing debut performance in a heavy Carling Knockout defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

He then further fell down the pecking order at the club after seemingly refusing to be substituted in a cup clash with Stellenbosch last season, ahead of a penalty shootout.

He also underwent shoulder surgery that sidelined him over the Christmas period.  

Ntwari ultimately made just seven appearances in all competitions in his first season at Chiefs, and just one appearance in the whole of last season.

With Chiefs completing the signing of Renaldo Leaner, Ntwari was sent to the newly promoted side where he is expected to get game time.

"Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari will join Mpumalanga-based Kruger United on a season-long loan in the upcoming 2026/27 campaign," the club posted.

"The move gives the Rwandan international a chance to gain valuable game time while contributing to the ambitions of the newly promoted outfit in the Betway Premiership."

Ntwari is one of 15 new signings announced by Kruger this week and one of five departures at Chiefs, after Gaston Sirino, Tashreeq Morris, Happy Mashiane and George Matlou all made their exits.
