Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana centre-back Rushwin Dortley the Amakhosi are on track in their quest for CAF Champions League qualification.
Chiefs are currently in fifth place in the log table with 22 points from 16 matches - 15 points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and eight points second-placed Orlando Pirates.
Last season, they endured a dismal campaign, finishing 10th on the log - their worst position in the modern PSL era. The disappointing outcome led to the departure of caretaker coach Cavin Johnson.
The Soweto giants have since appointed Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi, to help the club turn their fortunes around. Although things started slowly, they are starting to show signs of promise.
Dortley stressed that securing maximum points in their remaining fixtures is crucial to achieving their objective of participating in the Africa's continental showpiece next season.
"Our focus is to win every game and claim maximum points in order to move up the table," Dortley told the club's website.
"While it is still mathematically possible, our goal is to win the league but, if not, at least finish in the top three, and qualify for CAF competition next season. We really want to represent the Club on the continent again."
Amakhosi will face Cape Wineland's outfit Stellenbosch FC away at the Athlone Stadium on Saturday and will be desperate for a win after their recent draw against AmaZulu on Tuesday.
