Kaizer Chiefs unveil Siphesihle Ndlovu as sixth new signing amidst ambitious rebuild

The 28-year-old joins Amakhosi from SuperSport United and becomes the club's sixth acquisition in what is shaping up to be a bold new era for the Soweto giants.

Known for his high energy, relentless pressing, and ability to dictate the tempo in midfield, Ndlovu featured in 28 matches across all competitions for SuperSport last season.

His performances didn't go unnoticed, with Chiefs acting swiftly to secure his services as they aim to reestablish themselves as a dominant force in South African football.

Born in Pietermaritzburg, Ndlovu rose to prominence during his time at Maritzburg United before earning a move to Orlando Pirates in 2019.

Although his stint with the Buccaneers was met with mixed fortunes, he revived his form at SuperSport United, where his consistent displays helped solidify the midfield under Gavin Hunt.

Now entering the prime of his career, Ndlovu brings vital Premier Soccer League (PSL) experience and tactical discipline to Chiefs side desperate to return to silverware contention after several barren seasons.

Ndlovu's arrival follows the signings of Flavio Silva, Nkanyiso Shinga, Ethan Chislett, Paseka Mako, and Thabiso Monyane, all part of Chiefs' aggressive recruitment strategy under the new technical direction.

The club is clearly intent on adding depth and versatility to the squad in preparation for both domestic and potential continental competitions.

Amakhosi also confirmed that Ndlovu will soon travel to the Netherlands to join the rest of the squad for their pre-season tour.

The team is currently in Europe for intensive training and friendly matches aimed at sharpening match fitness and fostering cohesion among the new and returning players.

With more signings reportedly on the horizon, and pre-season preparations well underway, fans of the Glamour Boys will be hoping that the blend of experience, youth, and international pedigree can finally propel the team back to winning ways under the new setup.

As one of the most recognisable clubs on the continent, the pressure is always immense at Naturena.

But with Ndlovu's addition to the engine room, Amakhosi faithful have fresh reason to believe that the long-awaited turnaround might be just around the corner.
