Darren Keet explains surprise decision to retire and move to Canada
Former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Darren Keet has revealed how an unexpected coaching opportunity convinced him to end his playing career and begin a new chapter in Canada.

Makgalwa was available after parting ways with Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United at the end of last season, with Chiefs among the clubs showing interest in securing his services.
However, the 29-year-old ultimately opted for a move abroad, joining Tanzanian giants Simba SC, where he is now working under former Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker.
Speaking to FARPost during Simba's mini-camp at The Ranch Resort outside Polokwane, Makgalwa confirmed that Chiefs had made an offer but explained that the timing of their approach influenced his decision.
"Yes, Chiefs were one of the teams that were interested (in my services)," said Makgalwa.
"It was a good offer from them, but I wanted to play elsewhere outside South Africa. That's why I chose Simba SC. I didn't really decline the offer. They came late, to be honest. I had a conversation with my agent (Ntobatsi Masegela) and Kaizer (Motaung Jr). They were busy finalising their squad, and Simba came, you know. So I was like let me just go to Simba."
Despite choosing to continue his career outside South Africa, Makgalwa has not completely closed the door on a future move to Chiefs.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player admitted that playing for Amakhosi remains a personal ambition, dating back to his childhood in Mokopane.
"It is still a dream for me because, as a young boy from Mokopane, it was one of my dreams to play for Kaizer Chiefs. So I think if that move comes, I will take it. But for now, I am focused on Simba, helping them to win the league and do well in the (CAF) Champions League."
