Khalil Ben Youssef talks up qualities of Kaizer Chiefs duo Lebohang Maboe and Siphesihle Ndlovu

While Maboe was snapped up from Mamelodi Sundowns, Ndlovu was signed from the now defunct SuperSport United.

Both players have plenty of top-flight experience and have been key figures in an impressive campaign that sees Amakhosi occupy third place on the league standings with five games of their season to play.

Chiefs are on a seven game unbeaten run, heading into Wednesday night's clash with Siwelele.

"I think Maboe and Ndlovu are both showing good combinations with each other," Ben Youssef said in the Citizen.

"They know how to play football. They are smart players and give us more balance defensively and offensively."

Ben Youssef added that a number of Chiefs players have been excellent this season and feels at least a few derserve a call up to Hugo Broos' World Cup Bafana squad.

"I think it's not only Brandon (Petersen), but we also have four or five players that are putting big pressure on the coach (Hugo Broos), and I think for him it would be tough for him to decide," the coach added.

“Same for Bradley Cross, same for Lebohang (Maboe), same for Thabiso Monyane. I think they are pushing, and I think it's time that a player from Kaizer Chiefs be part of the national team.”
